  Sri Pada, also known as Adam’s Peak, is a famous mountain in Sri Lanka. It is about 2,243 meters high. The mountain is well known for the sacred footprint at the top. Buddhists believe it is the footprint of Lord Buddha. Sri Pada is a sacred mountain, and many people visit it every year. It is a very special and beautiful place. I climbed the mountain with my family. The journey was long and a little difficult, but it was very enjoyable. As I went up, I felt happy and peaceful. It is a place that makes you want to visit again and again. The cool air and natural beauty are amazing. When I reached the top, I felt very proud. Watching the sunrise was the best moment of my trip. Sri Pada is a place I will never forget. I went there last year, and it was my third time visiting this sacred mountain.

  My Favourite Festival – Sinhala and Tamil Aluth Awurudda    My favourite festival is Sinhala and Tamil New Year, which is called Sinhala and Tamil Aluth Awurudda in Sri Lanka. It is one of the most important and joyful festivals celebrated by Sri Lankans.     This festival is usually celebrated in April. During this time, families clean and decorate their houses and prepare many traditional foods such as Kiribath and sweetmeats. People wear new clothes and spend time with their family and friends.    There are many special customs during the New Year. People follow traditional times to cook milk rice, start work, and exchange greetings. Children enjoy playing traditional games like Kana Mutti and Kotta Pora.   The Sinhala and Tamil New Year brings happiness and unity to people. Indoor plants make our homes feel fresh and alive.🍃 Growing houseplants in also my hobby.🍃 I have some plants in my room too... They help clean the air and improve our mood. Some plants are very easy to grow, even for beginners. The Snake plant is a great choice because it needs little water. The Pothos grows well in low light and looks beautiful in hanging pots. The Peace lily has lovely white flowers and enjoys indirect sunlight. It is important to water plants only when the soil feels dry. Too much water can harm the roots of indoor plants. Placing plants near a window helps them grow better. With a little care, indoor plants can make any room look calm and green. 🌿
